REVIEWS

What our travelers say

We had a trip for 10 days planned with Cecilia and her team. The arrangements were perfect, seamless, attention to detail and very well organized. Cecilia make sure our needs were taken care of. We have food restrictions and young kids. She was thorough with her planning, organizing and execution. She remained in touch with us daily, checking in frequently and available to alter the itinerary as we needed ......

Frequently asked questions about your trip to Peru

How do I plan my Peru itinerary?

Every Ittacca trip starts with a free, personalized itinerary — no fixed routes. Tell us your dates, budget and interests, and a Peru specialist builds your day-by-day plan around Cusco, Machu Picchu, the Sacred Valley and beyond.

Yes — from Rainbow Mountain and Ollantaytambo to the Salkantay trek, we arrange private, guided day tours around Cusco as part of your custom trip or as standalone experiences.

Machu Picchu entrance tickets and train logistics are handled for you as part of every itinerary — no need to book separately.

You’ll hear from a real specialist within 24 hours — never a call center, never a hard sell. We’ll ask a few follow-up questions if needed, then send you a custom proposal with routes, hotels, and pricing. There’s no obligation to book, and no pressure if you want to think it over.

We don’t have fixed packages to sell you. Your specialist builds your itinerary from scratch based on your interests, pace, budget, and fitness level — choosing routes, hotels, and activities specifically for you. Two travelers requesting the same destinations rarely get the same itinerary.

Peru carries a standard “increased caution” travel advisory, mainly for petty theft in large cities and a couple of remote regions far from any tourist route. Cusco, the Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu, and central Lima are visited by millions of travelers every year and remain fully accessible with normal precautions. You’re with a private vehicle and an English-speaking guide throughout your trip, and we adjust routes if local conditions ever call for it.

Your guide and our local team are reachable throughout your trip — not just during business hours. If a flight changes, you feel unwell, or plans need to shift, we handle it in real time so you’re never figuring it out alone in a foreign country.

Cusco and the Sacred Valley sit above 3,000m, and Lake Titicaca even higher. Most people feel some effect the first day — mild headache or fatigue is common. We sequence your itinerary to acclimatize gradually, and recommend resting on arrival, staying hydrated, avoiding alcohol for the first 24 hours, and trying coca tea, a local remedy many travelers find helpful. If you have a heart or respiratory condition, check with your doctor about preventive medication before you travel.

Every package includes your private guide, private transportation, and entrance fees to the main sites — including your Machu Picchu entrance and train tickets, which we book on your behalf (these sell out months in advance and can’t be bought at the gate). Breakfast is typically included depending on your hotel; other meals, tips, and personal expenses are detailed in your custom proposal.

Most nationalities can enter Peru as tourists without a visa (requirements vary by passport), and you’ll receive an electronic entry record (TAM) automatically on arrival. No vaccines are required to enter the country, though a yellow fever vaccine is recommended if your trip includes the Amazon jungle — ideally taken at least 10 days before you travel. We’ll flag anything relevant to your specific itinerary in your proposal.

Yes. Every trip is private, so whether it’s just you, a family with kids, or a parent who needs a slower pace, your itinerary is built around who’s actually traveling — not a fixed group tour.
