Upon arrival to Cusco, our staff will assist you and transfer you to the selected hotel. You will have the rest of the morning free to rest and get used to the altitude, consider that the city is at 3,400 m. In the afternoon we will tour de city, admiring its buildings and contrasts. We will visit Qorikancha, the Temple of the Sun, one of the main Incan religious centres. We will continue to the Plaza de Armas (Main Square) and the beautiful Cathedral to observe the lovely architecture and colonial paintings. Then, we will board the bus to visit some of the archaeological sites surrounding the city. We will get to Sacsayhuaman, an impressive Incan fortress with monoliths of many metres high, to learn about some of their most amazing building techniques. We will carry on visiting other interesting sites. Overnight in Cusco.

Discover Chinchero, the rainbow city. With over 3,000 metres high, this city preserves the ancestral Incan traditions and its inhabitants still use the natural dye techniques of wool to create the most colourful and beautiful textiles. Visit the Salt Mines of Maras, exploited with care for centuries by the locals. Embedded on the side of the mountain, over five thousand pits on the terraces of this salt mine are nurtured by a salty stream. Take part on the salt harvest and live an amazing experience. Marvel with the enigmas of Moray and its circular terraces. This impressive agricultural laboratory was used by the Incas to experiment creating micro climates and learning about hundreds of produce species. Round off the experience with a present from us, a special gift for you prepared with salt from Maras. Return to Cusco. Overnight.

After a good breakfast we will start our excursion to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Our first stop will be at a textile centre, where we will appreciate the talent of some of the many native communities that inhabit the valley and learn about their ancestral knitting techniques and cultural diversity. We will head for the Archaeological Complex of Pisac. Here we will visit the lower part of the complex, where the farming area and the oldest pre-Hispanic cemetery of America are located. We will also see the terraces, streets, towers and more of this ancient city. Then, we will visit its popular and colourful art crafts market before heading for the Urubamba Valley, where we will enjoy a delicious buffet lunch. Later, we will go to Ollantaytambo, one of the last Incan cities still inhabited. We will visit the archaeological complex, a religious and agricultural centre that served as a fort for Manco Inca, leader of the Incan resistance during the Spanish conquest. Overnight in Cusco.

We will begin our adventure boarding a train to Aguas Calientes. For about four hours we will enjoy stunning views of the Sacred Valley. Once at Aguas Calientes, we will get on the bus that will take us up the mountain to the gates of Machu Picchu. It will take us about 20 or 30 minutes to get there. At the citadel, we will have a fantastic guided visit of about two and a half hours. We will walk around the narrow streets, the buildings, temples, terraces, fountains and more, while learning about this mysterious and magical city on top of the mountain. On the afternoon, we will enjoy a buffet lunch at one of the best restaurants in town. At scheduled time we will board the train back to Cusco, once there, we will take you back to the hotel. Overnight in Cusco.
