Upon arrival to Cusco, our staff will assist you and transfer you to the selected hotel. You will have the rest of the day free to rest and get used to the altitude, consider that the city is at 3,400 m. Overnight in Cusco.
After a good breakfast, we will start our excursion to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Our first stop will be at a textile centre, where we will appreciate the talent of some of the many native communities that inhabit the valley and learn about their ancestral knitting techniques and cultural diversity. We will head for the Archaeological Complex of Pisac. Here we will visit the lower part of the complex, where the farming area and the oldest pre-Hispanic cemetery of America are located. We will also see the terraces, streets, towers and more of this ancient city. Then, we will visit its popular and colourful art crafts market before heading for the Urubamba Valley, where we will enjoy a delicious lunch. Later, we will go to Ollantaytambo, one of the last Incan cities still inhabited. We will visit the archaeological complex, at the end, you have two option, one is transfer to Ollantaytambo train station to going to Machu Picchu or return you hotel in Cusco City
Early to take the bus. It will take us about 20 or 30 minutes to get Machu Picchu citadel. At the citadel, we will have a fantastic guided visit of about two and a half hours. We will walk around the narrow streets, the buildings, temples, terraces, fountains and more, while learning about this mysterious and magical city on top of the mountain. On the afternoon, we will enjoy a lunch at one of the best restaurants in town. At scheduled time we will board the train back to Cusco, once there, we will take you back to the hotel. Overnight in Cusco.
We will pick up you from your hotel in private transportation then we will drive for about 3 hours until Qesihuno where we will enjoy our delicious breakfast. After this important stop, we will start the hike to the Rainbow Mountain. The distance is approximately 4 km and the road climbs up gradually. The hike starts at 4,500 meter above sea level and rises to 5,100 meter above sea level. The journey will be through a beautiful valley where you will see some houses of local people and hundreds of alpacas and llamas. After a 2-hour hike, you will get to the Rainbow Mountain and we will stop in the front of the colorful mountain from where we will have a 360-degree view of the beautiful landscape, including Rainbow Mountain, Red Mountain, Ausangate Peak, and the rock valley. Here our tour guide will explain how and why these mountains are so colorful and the history of the sacred mountain. After relaxing and filling yourself with all the positive energy from Rainbow Mountain, we will hike down to Qesihuno. The hike back is easy. Once we will arrive in Qesihuno, we will enjoy our delicious box lunch. Then we will go back to Cusco City,
After Breakfast, we will tour de city, admiring its buildings and contrasts. We will visit Qoricancha, the Temple of the Sun, one of the main Incan religious centres. We will continue to the Plaza de Armas (Main Square) and the beautiful Cathedral to observe the lovely architecture and colonial paintings. Then, we will board the bus to visit some of the archaeological sites surrounding the city. We will get to Sacsayhuaman, an impressive Incan fortress with monoliths of many meters high, to learn about some of their most amazing building techniques. We will carry on visiting other interesting sites. Overnight in Cusco.
At scheduled time, transfer to the airport to take the flight to Lima
Upon arrival to Cusco, our staff will assist you and transfer you to the selected hotel.
After a good breakfast we will start our excursion to the Sacred Valley of the Incas.
We will begin our adventure boarding a train to Aguas Calientes. For about four hours we will enjoy stunning views of the Sacred Valley.
